RESULTS OF GENERAL MEETING

14 December

Results of general meeting relating to:
- the proposed community development transaction involving certain of Amplats' mine host communities;
- the general approval of financial assistance in terms of the Companies Act; and
- the approval of amendments to Amplats' share incentive schemes,
collectively (the “proposed matters”).

Amplats’ shareholders are referred to the announcement released on the Securities Exchange News Service (“SENS”) on Monday, 7 November 2011 and published in the press on Tuesday, 8 November 2011 and the circular posted to Amplats’ shareholders dated 14 November 2011 (“the circular”) relating to the proposed matters.

In this regard, Amplats’ shareholders are advised that at the general meeting of the shareholders of the company held today, 14 December 2011, all the resolutions as set out in the notice of general meeting contained in the circular and proposed at the general meeting regarding the proposed matters, were approved by the requisite majority of votes.

Accordingly, shareholders are advised that all conditions precedent as set out in the circular have now been fulfilled.
